New Mythical Pokémon Magearna has Been Revealed

Who’s that Pokémon? The folks over at the Pokémon Company have just revealed an all-new mythical pocket monster named Magearna, who will be appearing in the next Pokémon film.  The creature has a metallic body and was actually man-made 500 years ago. More information about this Pokémon will be released at a later date.

Is it just me, or do things always go sideways when humans create Pokémon? Mewtwo, anyone?

In the new film, Ash comes into contact with the mythical Pokémon Volcanio (who despises humans) and a mysterious force binds them together. They then arrive at a city of cogs and gears, where a corrupt minister is trying to use Magearna to take control of the mechanical kingdom.

One thing is certain, Ash is definitely going to have a hard time finding all 700+ Pokémon.

The 20th anniversary of the first trio of pocket monster games has been fantastic so far, and soon the original games will be available on the eShop. Special themed 3DS are also launching with Charizard and Blastoise face-plates, and there’s even a detective Pikachu title launching soon. There will also be special distributions of mythical monsters throughout the year, beginning with Mew.

The only thing missing is a new installment in the Pokémon RPG series. Maybe we’ll get an announcement for one in the near future. One can only hope.

What do you think about Magearna’s design? Would you want to add it to your team? Will you be watching the new movie? Let us know in the comments below!
