New BATMAN: ARKHAM VR Trailer Brings Fans into the Batcave

Batman: Arkham VR may be a few months away, but fans at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con have already had their chance to “be the Batman.” A new trailer from Warner Bros. Games and Rocksteady Studios looks back at the Comic-Con demo as the fans offer their testimonials for the game while giving us a tantalizing glimpse of the Batcave.

One of the most striking moments within this new trailer is the first-person view as Batman drops from Wayne Manor into the Batcave itself, before giving gamers an opportunity to see a brand new take on one of the most iconic locations in comics. Other notable moments in the clip include Batman putting on his famous mask, and demonstrating his skill with a Batarang.

Judging by the very satisfied reactions seen here, the game appears to have successfully created a taste of what it’s like to be one of the world’s greatest superheroes. But as we noted in our hands-on demo back at E3, this title is about more than just chillin’ in the Batcave! Someone very close to Bruce Wayne has been murdered, and one of the earliest parts of the game involves Batman using his detective skills to recreate the crime scene. We haven’t seen how this game handles action sequences yet, but we’re looking forward to getting some payback for Batman’s fallen friend!

Batman: Arkham VR is a Playstation 4 exclusive title, and it will be released in October.
