Netflix Takes to the Skies with DREAMSWORKS DRAGONS: RACE TO THE EDGE

After the original How To Train Your Dragon stole our hearts in 2010, we had to wait four long years before the adventures of Hiccup and Toothless returned to the big screen. Luckily that time was broken up by the premiere of a Dragons television show on Cartoon Network called Dreamworks Dragons: Riders of Berk. Now, the fabled third season of Dreamworks Dragons is finally coming our way via Netflix and is gaining a new subtitle. Say hello to Dreamworks Dragons: Race To The Edge.

The original show offered extended adventures of the young crew of dragon riders from the original film as they learned how to live harmoniously in their small viking village of Berk. When the second film in the series came out, however, the character had suddenly aged three to four years and were seen as having mastered their dragons. Race To The Edge, another in a long list of shows finding a second life on Netflix, will now bridge the gap between the previous series and the second film. This will most likely include seeing Hiccup invent some of his newer adventuring equipment, like his dragon-fire sword and that bad ass mask of his. So far only one season of Race To The Edge, consisting of 13 episodes, has been confirmed, but there are still another three years until the next movie in the series is expected, so we will just have to see what happens.

Dreamworks Dragons: Race To The Edge will premiere on Netflix on June 26. Let us know what you think of the video!
