MUSKWATCH: 6 New Ways Elon Musk is Changing the Future

One of the most entertaining aspects of Elon Musk is that he’s like a super science visionary crossed with a comic book supervillain. We admire his many accomplishments with Tesla Motors and SpaceX, but some of the things that Musk does are a biiiit over-the-top. I mean, the dude literally turned the American Samoa volcanic island Ta’Å« into a 100% solar powered juggernaut. The only thing more supervillainous than having a remote island lair would be if Musk placed his hideout inside of an active volcano. And we can’t put that one past him!

All kidding aside, some of Musk’s plans could legitimately change the world as we know it. For further details, we’re joining senior editor Dan Casey Musk and science editor Kyle Hill Musk as they go over Elon Musk’s latest activities while waiting for the adoption papers to go through. That’s right, it’s time for MuskWatch!

To start things off, the Musk brothers tell us about Tesla’s new solar roofs, which reportedly weigh less, and more importantly, cost less than standard roofing materials. If these new Tesla roofs catch on, they may be a significant step forward for solar power. But that pales in comparison to Musk’s new FCC proposal that asks for permission to launch nearly 4,500 new satellites into orbit and blast high speed internet across the globe. If that’s not crazy enough, our man Musk still has his eye on the Red Planet. If he’s moving to Mars, we want to go with him!

Today’s episode was sponsored by Ubisoft and its newest game, Watch Dogs 2. Playstation 4 and Xbox One owners can get in on Watch Dogs 2‘s open world adventure now, but PC gamers are gonna have to wait until November 29.

What did you think about the latest MuskWatch? Let’s discuss in the comment section below!
