As Deadpool continues to break box-office records, we’ve got even more goodies, in the form of some far-out concept art, from the Marvel mutant blockbuster. Also in today’s Movie Morsels, the latest from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Angry Birds Movie, and more!
Deadpool
Super-cool alternate designs for Deadpool‘s deadly little Negasonic Teenage Warhead have arrived online. Artist Joshua James Shaw issharing his concept art on his website, including pics of Wade Wilson himself. Turns out that ol’ Warhead was originally more punk/goth/riot grrrl than emo, before director Tim Miller decided to go with a look more reminiscent of Xavier School’s comic-book uniforms (of which I’m hoping we’ll see lots more in X-Men: Apocalypse)…
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
And speaking of dark sensibilities… Three new TV spots have arrived for Batman v Superman: Real Men Don’t Wear Briefs, featuring the two glowering title characters from director Zack Snyder…
You can see if Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Gal Gadot have the goods as Bruce Wayne, Lex Luthor, Alfred, and Wonder Woman when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice bows on March 25 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.
The Angry Birds Movie
Hang in there, Angry Birds fans. Validation of your all-encompassing obsession is on its way, in the form of the self-explanatory The Angry Birds Movie. The film’s new international trailer explains how it’s really all about our basic human need for companionship. And a hatred of green pigs… Hey, at least it looks faithful to the game!
Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly make their directorial debuts on the May 13 release, featuring the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage.

Sausage Party
Did you know that Seth Rogen has an R-rated CG-animated film in production? Sausage Party is set to debut in its unfinished form at this year’s SXSW, and the first image from the raunchy comedy has just been unveiled on the festival’s website. Sausage Party will premiere on Monday, March 14 at 9:15 PM at the Paramount Theatre. Written by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and directed by Greg Tierna and Conrad Vernon, it features the voices of Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, and Jonah Hill. Rogen and Goldberg will also debut their TV adaptation of Preacher at the festival.
