Charlize Theron

While we’re still bummed to hear that Charlize Theron may not be back for the next Mad Max movie, we’re psyched to know that at least she’s in discussions about another meaty action role. A new report indicates that Theron is up for the role of a gender-swapped version of the hero in Mark Greaney’s novel The Gray Man, described as a “CIA op-turned-assassin who is forced to evade adversaries as he saves the lives of daughters he didn’t know he had.” How the role will differ with a woman playing it remains to be seen, and no director is attached yet, but we know the script is by Captain America: Civil War helmers Joe and Anthony Russo.
