Miracle of Sound Releases BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Inspired Song

Earlier this summer, Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady Studios closed out the Batman: Arkham video game series with Batman: Arkham Knight. And while the PC version of the game had to be temporarily pulled, the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of Arkham Knight have been widely praised as one of the best Batman games of all time.

As a tribute to Batman: Arkham Knight, musician Gavin Dunne a.k.a. Miracle of Sound has written, produced, and performed an original song entitled “I Am The Night.” The accompanying video for “I Am The Night” features cutscenes and gameplay from Arkham Knight, with glimpses of the game’s villains, including Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, and the enigmatic Arkham Knight. The Dark Knight’s allies are also well represented, with Commissioner Gordon, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, and of course, Batman himself.

Under his Miracle of Sound alias, Dunne has created several original songs based on and inspired by movies, video games, and TV series. “I Am The Night” is also the third song that Dunne has written and performed that took its cues from the Batman: Arkham series.

In 2013, Dunne released “Joker’s Song,” using Batman: Arkham City as an inspiration while singing from the Joker’s particularly insane point of view. Dunne’s vocals in this song are actually a pretty good impression of Mark Hamill’s iconic take on the Clown Prince of Crime!

And in 2012, Dunne put out the Batman: Arkham Asylum inspired song, “The Mind of The Bat.” Dunne’s “I Am The Night” actually features a musical callback to this song as he completes his own Batman trilogy.

Dunne has released five albums of Miracle of Sound music on his Bandcamp page, in addition to his own recently produced heavy metal album and additional recordings. You can also check out the Miracle of Sound YouTube page for the newest musical creations by Dunne.

Batman fans, is “I Am The Knight” a worthy tribute to one of comics’ greatest creations? Shine a Bat-Symbol on your opinions in the comment section below!
