Make Taco Bell’s Entire Classic Menu Yourself

One off the great pleasures of fast food is that it is in fact, both fast and (mostly, we think) food. Impulse control need not apply, as that stuff is ready when you want it, right away. Buuuuuut…

…let’s just say, hypothetically, that you had some time on your hands, and could manage to clamp down on your urges to have that chalupa right effin’ now. And maybe you’d like to know exactly what’s in your food. (Or maybe you’re too impaired to drive, which is when Taco Bell food tastes the absolute best while being most unavailable.) Thanks to the valiant Brothers Green Eats, these factors do not have to stifle your love of Taco Bell. Because they know how to make all that stuff at home, and they are going to share that precious, precious knowledge with you (hint: a lot more flour and cornstarch than I’d have expected).

These are all the mainstay menu items, so if you were hoping to learn about a Dorito taco shell or Cap’n Crunch donut balls, that might have to wait. But if you want Fire or Baja sauce on your homemade Mexican Pizza, that’s in here. And hey, at home you can modify the Mexican Pizza back to its classic-classic form, with green onions and black olives.

Some of these may be too good to be true Taco Bell: medium rare steak, for example, is a little fancier than the fully cooked meat a fast food health code may insist upon. But that just means if you mess up at following the recipes here, your stuff could be even more authentic.

Now, is there a YouTube video that teaches me how to get my chihuahua to speak, and wear a tiny Che Guevara hat? He’s not cooperating at the moment.

Is there a Taco Bell item they didn’t touch on that you’d like to make at home? Call it out in comments!
