Thereâs no greater disappointment than when you open up that pink pastry box at the office only to see your favorite donut is gone. Itâs enough to make you want to ârain down hellfire,â and those are Capâs exact words to Tony in this fun clip from People Magazine. While promoting Captain America: Civil War, Chris Evans, and Robert Downey Jr. playfully kid each other over RDJ’s donut theft, though we always knew Iron Man had a soft spot for donuts.
Red, white and blue sprinkles are signature Steve Rogers and thereâs no coming between a man out of time and his donut. Luckily with this recipe, you can make as many as you want and share them with your favorite Avengers… or not.
Captain Americaâs Favorite Donuts
youâll need:
-Red white and blue sprinkles
-White star sprinkles
donut ingredients:
-1 (16 oz) can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
-oil for frying
icing ingredients:
-1 cup powdered sugar
-2 Tablespoons milk
-2 Tablespoons butter, melted
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
-Pinch of salt
Open the can of biscuits and roll them out flat. Use a 1-inch biscuit cutter to cut a hole out of the centers.
Heat 3-inches of oil in a dutch oven over medium-high heat to about 350ºF.
Fry the donuts on both sides until golden brown. Let drain on a wire rack.
In a bowl stir together the powdered sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
Dip the donuts to cover in glaze, then sprinkle with the red, white and blue sprinkles and star sprinkles to serve.
