Oh what a drawing! What a lovely drawing!
This collection of Mad Max: Fury Road illustrations is the work of artist Wanchana Intrasombat of Thailand, who also goes by the name Victorior, and they’re good enough to surely earn him a place one day “walking with the Immortan or feasting with the heroes of our time.”
You can WITNESS! his individual drawings for Charlize Theron‘s Imperator Furiosa, Tom Hardy‘s Max Rockatansky, and Nicholas Hoult‘s War Boy Nux in our gallery below. Note that Max’s drawing is actually different from the piece above that contains all three of the characters. In that group photo Max is still locked into his mask, but his solo photo has him free of it and wearing his jacket.
The only problem with these is that there aren’t enough of them. We are going to need Victorior to get working on an Immortan Joe, the Bullet Farmer, a Rictus Erectus, all of the wives, all of the Many Mothers, and the Doof Warrior, and actually you know what he should just draw every character from the movie.
While we wait for him to do that you should definitely check out some of Victorior’s other drawings, which show off his self-proclaimed “cute style” that combines cartoon and fantasy, especially his Lord of the Rings collection and his drawing of Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.
While Mad Max: Fury Road did not take home the Oscar for Best Picture (like many of us were rooting for), it does continue to be one of the most inspiring movies for other artists in quite some time, which means we’ll keep getting awesome original works like this.
Which other character would you most like to see Victorior do next from Fury Road? Tell us below in the comments section.
