LEGO MARVEL’S AVENGERS is Going to Be Amazing

I’ll be honest: The only movies I’ve seen in the theater in the last three years have been Marvel movies—namely Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. So when I got the chance to see a demo of the brand new LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game at New York Comic Con, I jumped at the chance. Let me just tell you right now, this is the game you are going to want to save your holiday monies to buy in January 2016.

Check out the convention exclusive trailer above. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

The game includes the story of Marvel’s Avengers, and Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. But don’t worry Marvel fans. The game is absolutely full of awesome Easter eggs (in true Marvel tradition) from other films including Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Also, you can play almost any character from the universe in the game. I saw Odin, Squirrel Girl, and Peggy Carter, and the menu of possible characters nearly fills the screen.

Arthur Parsons and his team at TT Games have been working on this for nearly two years in the hopes that you will be able to play a gorgeous game with adventure and an open world. The great storytelling of Marvel comes to life with the humor and fun of all the LEGO games, and voiceover cameos by actors from the films including Cobie Smulders and Hayley Atwell. The game is all ages, and I’m looking forward to playing it with my nieces and nephews come January.

Did I mention you can play both young Agent Carter AND old Agent Carter? Because that is a thing this game lets you do! So start thinking about all the characters you want to play once the game is out. You have a lot from which to choose.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will be released on Xbox One®, Xbox 360®, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, PlayStation®Vita, Wiiâ„¢U, Nintendo 3DSâ„¢ and Windows PC on January 26, 2016.

Are you going to check out the game? Let us know in the comments.
