Join Nerdist for a STAR WARS Marathon Event!

We know it’s been near-impossible to snag The Force Awakens tickets since they went on sale last week, but we’ve got some exciting news for all you Los Angeles-based Star Wars fans. We’re partnering with Disney to bring you a Star Wars Marathon Event at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, CA on opening night! Moviegoers will marathon all six movies in order before being some of the first people EVER to see Episode VII.

Earlier this year, we hosted a similar marathon event for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it did not disappoint. That marathon spanned over 24 hours and included every movie from Phase I and II of the MCU, leading up to an early screening of Age of Ultron. We hosted Q&As with talent from the films (including Kevin Feige, Jaimie Alexander, Clark Gregg, and James Gunn), gave away some sweet, sweet prizes, and conducted dance parties with the audience to help them stay awake. This year the marathon runs at a slightly more manageable 16-ish hours, and culminates in the movie we’ve all been waiting for: The Force Awakens.

Your ticket will include a reserved seat, an event credential (so you can prove your marathon cred), a Star Wars lanyard, a commemorative souvenir ticket, a collectible BB-8 button, tasty treats, and more. Doors will open at midnight on December 17, and the entire event will be peppered with raffles, giveaways, and some surprise guests—so make sure you stay tuned to Nerdist for some special announcements. You can buy tickets online, in person at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6.

Will we see you at the El Capitan? Let us know in the comments below, and don’t miss our breakdown of the latest Star Wars trailer on Nerdist News!
