Is Batman the Iron Man of the DC Extended Universe?

It’s official: DC‘s cinematic universe has a name, and it’s the DC Extended Universe! This info came from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder, who dropped a whole heck of a lot more in an interview with Empire Magazine this week. But mostly Batman info. Why?

Because the Dark Knight is slowly becoming the Iron Man of the DCEU! He’s taking the spotlight, tying in to nearly every hero and villain, getting traumatized by aliens, and even single-handedly assembling the super-team of heroes known as the Justice League. It’s almost a perfect parallel. But how will this cinematic universe stand apart from the reigning champ, Marvel?

Join Jessica Chobot as she lays out the latest DCEU tidbits, explores the Batman/Iron Man link, and explains how the DCEU‘s “sandbox” approach will give them a shot at overtaking Marvel–all on today’s Nerdist News!

Thanks for watching the show, don’t miss the latest Because Science, and let us know in the comments below if you’re into the grizzled, experienced Batman we’re getting!
