Inked Wednesday #81 – PAN’S LABYRINTH, DOCTOR WHO, and More

I’m not saying there are prizes for having the highest number of awesome geeky tattoos, but if there were, M Maxwell would certainly be in the running. She shared her fantastic collection of nerdy ink with me for Inked Wednesday, and I’m experiencing intense tattoo envy. She has a variety of gorgeous work covering her skin, inspired by Disney properties like The Nightmare Before Christmas, art from Alice in Wonderland, quotes from Lord of the Rings, and more. I’m simply amazed at all the nods to nerdery she carries around with her everywhere. Let’s take a look:

Her Yoda tattoo inked by Shane Baker of Nite Owl Tattoo:

I adore the cartoon, caricature look.

“Riddles in the dark” and Smaug from The Hobbit, inked by Tom Butts at Anchor And Steam Tattoo:

Fauno from Pan’s Labyrinth, inked by Shane Baker of Nite Owl Tattoo:

Need to see more geeky tattoos? Then jump to the gallery below. You’ll find ink inspired by Doctor Who, more than a couple Star Wars pieces (you guys have all the Star Wars tattoos, apparently), and more.

Inked Wednesday is supplied by your submissions. Send me pics of your tattoos to include in future round-ups, please! You can drop links to pictures in the comments, tag or mention me on Instagram, or shoot me photos on Twitter. High-res pictures are preferred, but I’ll take whatever you have. If you’re not the tattoo artist, please let me know who is so I can include credit. If you are a tattoo artist, feel free to share examples of your work!
