Holy Moly! This SIMPSONS Tattoo Will Blow Your Mind

Now, I’m a big fan of The Simpsons, as no doubt you are… along with your children, parents, cousins, grandparents, cat, and so on. But I’ve got to say, I don’t think any of us are as big a fan as 52-year-old Michael Baxter, from Australia.

This guy has 203 Springfield characters tattooed on his back, and holds the Guinness World Record for “most tattoos of characters from a single animated series.” Get a load of this ink:

In Baxter’s own words, “I wanted to get something which was unique, which nobody else had or would even think of getting. I’m a huge fan of the show.” Yeah, no kidding!

Here’s the tattoo in the coloring stage:

Are you wondering how long this took, and how many pretty pennies Baxter spent on his body art? Because those were my questions. Well, he spent a whopping 130 hours (the equivalent of five and a half days) in the chair of tattoo artist Jade Baxter Smith (no relation to our guy, I don’t think), and it cost him AU $12,000.

This is an interesting tid-bit: to achieve the coveted record, all of Baxter’s tattoos had to show the characters as they appear in The Simpsons, and he had to provide details of the episodes in which each character appeared (in the form of which they have been tattooed).

What do you think of Baxter’s body art? Come on, let’s have it in the comments below.
