Holiday DIY: THE MINDY PROJECT’s Wreath Witherspoon

As any of her fans will tell you, Mindy Kaling absolutely loves romantic comedies, and the show’s holiday episode was a testament to that adoration. The Mindy Project’s Christmas episodes are always wonderfully dramatic and not to be missed (remember Danny’s dance tribute to Aaliyah? I’ll give you a minute), and this mid-season finale was no exception. There were hook-ups, miscommunications, and a Ken Burns appearance. All classic qualities of a romantic comedy, except maybe that last one.

While Mindy Kaling is clearly the star of the Fox show, in this particular episode there was another stand-out cameo in the most pun-tastic way: Wreath Witherspoon. How else would an unapologetic pop-culture lover decorate for the holidays? Well, perhaps with a Rhianna tree topper, but we only have time for one DIY today.

Here’s how to make a Wreath Witherspoon of your very own. (Don’t worry, it’s so simple even Morgan could make it.) Happy holidays and have a Mindy Christmas!

Wreath Witherspoon
supplies:
14-inch Christmas wreath
– 5 – 6 photos of Reese Witherspoon
– ribbon

Step 1: Find pictures of Reese Witherspoon on the internet. Photos from iconic films like Legally Blonde and Election both work well.

Step 2: Print out and cut the pictures approximately 4” to 5” in height.

Step 3: Adhere to the branches of wreath with hot glue.

Step 4: Use ribbon to tie and hang.
