Here’s Every DAREDEVIL Season Two Easter Egg and Reference

If you haven’t seen all of season two of Daredevil yet, hold off on watching the video above until you do, because it is in full-on SPOILER mode for the whole season. Seriously — you have been warned.

This past weekend, Marvel dropped the second season of Daredevil on Netflix, and many of you out there binge-watched all thirteen episodes of Hell’s Kitchen shenanigans over the past few days. While the first season was pretty great, season two was definitely more comic-booky, and felt truer to its Marvel Comics origins overall. (And it’s evidenced in this new superclip!)

For starters, we had Daredevil in his classic costume for the whole season—not just one episode. We also had a lot more classic Marvel Comics elements come into play, like Elektra, the Hand, and the Punisher. And when it comes to clever references, season two has are a metric ton of them. There’s stuff referencing the 1980’s run of the Frank Miller Daredevil book, as well as the more recent works of writers like Brian Michael Bendis and Ed Brubaker. Of course, there are many references to the other Marvel movies and shows, including a particularly big one connecting to this past season of Agent Carter.

But that’s just scratching the surface. Thankfully, Aussie uber-fan Mr. Sunday Movies has combed through every inch of Daredevil season two and found as many Easter Eggs as humanly possible, and made a YouTube video detailing them all, which you can view above.

How many of these Easter Eggs did you catch when watching Daredevil? Let us know in the comments.
