Gaming Daily: DESTINY Players Recreate Backstreet Boys Classic

It’s been an interesting week thus far. Needless to say, there are a whole lot of games already stacking up on my desk. Yet, there is one title that has recently hooked me: LEGO Dimensions. I will not say much about the gameplay, but what has captured my attention (and wallet) are the toys. My collection is steadily growing, and I only need a few more of the single “fun packs” to have all wave one figures. It’s insanity and I just can’t stop. Now, onto the news of the day. In today’s Gaming Daily, a Destiny music video features a Backstreet Boys classic hit tune, we get another lesson in S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Fallout 4 stats, the second Street Fighter 5 beta has been dated, a new cape in Minecraft will allow you to fly, and Resident Evil 7 is speculated to be in the works.

Destiny Backstreet Boys

Destiny music video features the Backstreet Boys banger “Everybody”.

If you’ve yet to watch our very 90’s Goosebumps music video featuring Jack Black and our own Malik Forté, go watch it now. Once you’ve done that, if you still want a trip down 90’s nostalgia lane, check out this music video created in Destiny, using the Backstreet Boys’ track “Everybody”. The video was uploaded by YouTube channel Husky Raid and it’s definitely reminiscent of an old school music video. Watch the magic above and I suggest skipping a whole minute ahead.

Yeah, your fireteam may have defeated Oryx and completed every raid in the game, but your squad will never be this cool. Jokes aside, the choreography is pretty impressive. Utilizing the specials, grenades, and dance moves in this manner is brilliant. I can’t imagine how long it took to get everything just right.

Boy bands, be jealous.

The Taken King expansion has increased the interest in the title exponentially. Let’s hope Bungie continues to bring content that fans actually want. Though, adding micro-transactions may have not been the best ploy.

Being smart in Fallout 4 may come in handy.

The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series from Bethesda continued today, with a look at the intelligence stat in Fallout 4. Staying true to the series, the short video is quite comical and still gives us important information that’s critical to surviving all the dangers present in the game. Focusing on this stat will allow your character to do things like discover new technology and figure out passwords. Watch the video above.

Street Fighter V Laura

Street Fighter 5‘s second beta dated.

The second planned beta for Street Fighter 5 will start on October 22 and will run through October 25. This test is going to feature a whole lot of additional content that fans are going to want to fiddle with. Both PS4 and PC gamers will be able to cross pollinate and face each other in combat. The coveted cross-platform play will be supported starting October 24.

Combined leaderboards, new characters, ranked matchmaking, and player searching will all also be included. It’s still a strange concept that beta tests are now held in such high regards. It’s even weirder when there are complaints about the beta not working, because, you know, it’s a beta. You can try to join in crowd testing the game here.

Minecraft-Cape-10072015

Minecraft adds new flying cape.

Minecraft players on PC will soon be able to fly around in Adventure Mode using a brand new cape. This cape will be introduced to the game in the next update, which is still without a release date. You won’t be able to craft this gear, but will actually have to go out and find it. From the  little that we’ve seen, it actually looks pretty fly. Exploration will become much more efficient once you can soar over the cubed world. Plus, your character looks like a badass.

Resident Evil Remaster

Resident Evil 7 is in the works.

This isn’t much of a surprise, but Capcom is working on Resident Evil 7 with more news coming in the future. Speaking to Dengeki PlayStation magazine, producer, Masachika Kawata had the following to say about Resident Evil 7: “We’re currently not at a state to talk about it, but please stay tuned.”

He also mentioned trying to bring horror back in the series, “Since there’s been more spinoff titles, I can see how it can be perceived in such a way. And of course I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I’m thinking about it and also preparing for it.”

I have high hopes for the next installment in the series, especially after what Capcom did with Resident Evil Revelations 2. I thought that game had the perfect balance between horror and action. We may be in for a treat if Capcom can once again nail that balance.
