GAME OF THRONES Star Lena Headey to Star As JACQUELINE ESS In Horror Adaptation

Game of Thrones and 300 star Lena Headey will be starring in the feature adaptation of horror master Clive Barker’s short story “Jacqueline Ess,” Variety has reported. The feature film adaptation will be directed by Jovanka Vuckovic and executive produced by Barker himself. Variety is also reporting that both Headey and Vuckovic will serve as producers on the film.

Jacqueline Ess will serve as Vuckovic’s feature film debut with the director having previously helmed the short film “The Captured Bird” and an entry in XX, the all-female horror anthology film due out later this year. Barker sung the praises of star Headey saying, “Lena Headey is a marvelous performer with an incredible presence. As far as I’m concerned, there is no better choice of actress for the role of Jacqueline. Her beauty and authority will carry the day.”

“Jacqueline Ess” is the story of a woman who discovers she has the power to change a person’s physical shape using only her mind. Once she discovers this gift, her life changes drastically in a grisly way.

I have a feeling that both Headey and Vuckovic are going to bring a lot to this project and I cannot wait to see this movie. What are your thoughts, horror fans? Tell us in the comments below.

She is definitely a love to hate character as of late. But I favorite role for her will always be Imagine Me and You. I love a good horror movie and I think she is right for the genre.

  6. SOUNDS COOL. I’M IN! (ALTHOUGH I HAVE READ THAT SHE IS HAVING MONEY ISSUES–AND IS TAKING EVERY JOB THAT COMES HER WAY TO HELP PAY FOR EVERYTHING…)
