Get Your CATAN on with this Custom GAME OF THRONES Board

It’s a beautiful thing to see two geeky faves collide, as is the case with this Settlers of Catan board done up Game of Thrones style. Reddit user carlotta4th (who, unsurprisingly, is also an active member of the Game of Thrones subreddit) shared their Thrones-inspired take on the beloved strategy game on /DIY, and they’re offering the design to anyone who wants to make their own via digital download.

The gorgeously rendered set mimics the style of the standard Catan game with a two player expansion, meaning the board can be used for games of up to six players. In total, crafting a single set took carlotta4th nearly 40 hours—filled with creating vector files, etching tiles, taping and sanding, staining, gluing felt, and general set-up—to craft, and given the photos they shared, it was all well worth the effort.

There’s nothing that isn’t impressive about this set, but the most ingenious parts are in the details; what goes on the board is just as awesome as the board itself. The Longest Road award features Petyr Baelish’s self-styled mockingbird sigil, while the Largest Army award boasts references to the Clegane brothers and Brienne of Tarth. The robber tile is a Greyjoy kraken, and players choose from Stark, Targaryen, Baratheon, Tyrell, Lannister, and Martell game pieces. (The city and settlement pieces allotted to each player feature lesser houses and cultures—Mormont with Stark, Dothraki with Targaryen, Tarth with Baratheon, and so on).

Given the stunning craftsmanship, here’s hoping carlotta4th changes their mind and sets about making more sets. They could name their price, and any board game/GoT stan would jump at the chance to get their hands on one of these.
