Fox Announces Return Dates For SLEEPY HOLLOW, GOTHAM, EMPIRE, and More!

Get ready to scream this fall, on Fox! Because the network has just announced it’s fall premiere dates and, well? There’s a lot to be excited about.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the announcement is that Fox revealed that it is giving its biggest push to Scream Queens, the new comedy/horror series from Glee and American Horror Story creator, Ryan Murphy. On Tuesday, September 22, Scream Queens will get a two hour series premiere at 9pm.

Before that, Fox will use this year’s Emmy Awards show telecast on Sunday, September 20 as the official start for its Fall 2015 TV season. Then on Monday, September 21, the Batman prequel series Gotham returns for its second season at 8pm. Joining Gotham on Fox’s Monday schedule is Minority Report, a TV sequel series to the feature film adaptation directed by Steven Spielberg.

On Wednesday, September 22, the mega-popular Empire returns to Fox at 9pm, with new drama Rosewood as its lead-in at 8pm. On Thursday, October 1, Sleepy Hollow (a favorite show here at Nerdist, because Sleepycast) will move to its new night in the 8pm timeslot, with Bonesrounding out the evening at 9pm.

Fox’s Sunday night comedy lineup will return on Sunday, September 27, with the season premieres of Bob’s Burgers at 7:30pm, The Simpsons at 8pm, Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 8:30pm, Family Guy at 9pm, and The Last Man on Earth at 9:30pm.

New comedy series, Grandfathered and The Grinder will air at 8pm and 8:30pm respectively beginning on Tuesday, September 29, before Scream Queens.

For the early part of the fall, Fridays will be kept open so that Fox can air repeats of its new and returning series to allow new viewers to find them. Then on Friday, November 6, Fox will bring back Masterchef Junior at 8pm and World’s Funniest at 9pm.
