The penultimate installment of The Hunger Games films hit theaters last weekend, and Mockingjay – Part 1 was every bit as chilling and emotional as I imagined it would be. Actually, it surpassed my expectations. I’ve had the world created by author Suzanne Collins in my head since I saw the film, and I’m tempted to pull out the books for another reread. Panem is a horrifying place, and Katniss Everdeen is a complex and interesting character.

Since I have the franchise on the brain, I flipped through DeviantArt and Tumblr to search for fan art inspired by The Hunger Games. I found pages upon pages, but these selections are my favorites. You could say I reaped them for this week’s Fan Art Friday.
