Extra Life 2016: Help Us Raise Money for a Great Cause!

Comfortable chairs? Check.

Enough coffee to keep Christian Bale awake for a calendar year? Check.

More video games than we know what to do with? Check and mate.

That may sound like a weird checklist, but it’s one we run through every year as we gear up for our annual Extra Life marathon. After we wake up from our post-Halloween sugar highs and before we trip the light tryptophantastic on Thanksgiving, we raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals with a charity livestream. This year, we’re teaming up again with our pals at Geek & Sundry to raise $20,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Join us on Sunday, November 6 from 8AM to 8PM PST on the Geek & Sundry Twitch Channel to watch the altruistic awesomeness unfold. You’ll see all of your favorite faces from Nerdist and Geek & Sundry, plus special guests from all types of different places (including the astral plane), play your favorite games with brand new twists.

But we can’t do it alone—we need your help. We urge you to please head to the Nerdist and Geek & Sundry Extra Life Donation page to make a contribution if you can. If not, please consider sharing out the link to your friends and family because getting the message out there is just as important. But most of all, we want you to come hang out with us. Last year, we raised one of the largest Extra Life donations to date, and it was all thanks to you, our amazing community. So here’s hoping that this year will be even better, and we’ll see you on the livestream!
