EXCLUSIVE Announcement from Directors Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead for Festival Favorite SPRING

As far as the festival circuit goes in 2014, horror favorites The Babadook and Starry Eyes found their release dates in the fall of last year. But one notable genre flick, Spring, made waves and gained a spring 2015 release date. Now, the time has almost come for general audiences to feast their eyes on the popular creature feature and see what the buzz is all about.

In anticipation of the March release, here’s directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Resolution, V/H/S: Viral) introducing their latest film Spring, one of the best reviewed genre films making the festival rounds in 2014, that will hit theaters and VOD on March 20th from Drafthouse Films and FilmBuff.

The official poster for the flick, which many have described as a heartfelt and romantic creature feature, will arrive on February 10th and the trailer is scheduled to come shortly after on February 13, 2015. Don’t forget to stay in touch with Benson and Moorhead via their Twitter accounts!

The official synopsis for Spring is below:

Evan (Lou Taylor Pucci, Evil Dead, Thumbsucker) is a young American fleeing to Europe to escape his past. While backpacking along the Italian coast, everything changes during a stop at an idyllic Italian village, where he meets and instantly connects with the enchanting and mysterious Louise. A flirtatious romance begins to bloom between the two – however, Evan soon realizes that Louise has been harboring a monstrous, primordial secret that puts both their relationship and their lives in jeopardy.

A beautiful, fluid genre-bender from Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Resolution), Spring is an unforgettable romance of mythical proportions.

Spring hits theaters and VOD on March 20, 2015.
