Raynor. Kerrigan. Tassadar. These are names that should resonate with any Blizzard fan, and three of the many pillars holding the StarCraft empire high in the starry, war-engulfed skies. The backstory of StarCraft is so elaborate, that you’d think it came of a text book–were it not for the vicious bug aliens and what not.

Many know StarCraft for what it’s done on the eSports scene. The game–especially in Asia–quickly became one of the first of its kind to receive recognition from a major audience, and is another reason why many have deemed Blizzard one of the most trendsetting game establishments in existence. What Diablo has done for the Dungeon Crawler genre, StarCraft has done just as much for real-time strategy games.
