Dress Like a Master Builder With Brick Brick Gear Customizable Hats

If you consider yourself a Master Builder, why keep your creations to yourself when you can display them on your head for all the world to see?

At this year’s WonderCon, I stopped in my tracks when I saw the headwear at the Brick Brick Gear booth. First of all, it was Hello Kitty, and second of all, it was all made out of toy bricks that you wear on your head. All of this is a win. As I oohed and ahhed at the kawaii Kitty hat, the guys behind the booth brought out other characters, each more impressive than the next. A wide-eyed brick Keroppi, followed by a bad Badtz Maru hat, all created in 2D and 3D forms out of bricks. Then when the Marvel inspired hats appeared, I was beside myself.

The Sanrio cap kits are currently licensed and come with a package of bricks and instructions. For other characters, like this impressive Jurassic Park hat, regular bricks can be used to create the images by simply googling pixel images of those characters so you can personalize your own.

The genius of the hat lies in the slide-on interchangeable brims and plates. The variety of colors adds to the style of the hat, making it as simple or complicated as you like, plus there’s the added bonus of being able to change up your look every day.

We’re calling it: toys on your head is where it’s at.
