DOCTOR WHO’s Weeping Angels are More Terrifying in LEGO Form

Warning: The video above features some spoilers for the game, do NOT watch if you’re intent on going into the experience fresh.

LEGO Dimensions is jam-packed with all sorts of cameos, surprise sequences, and really nutty mashups you would never expect. What other game includes Scooby-Doo, Batman, Gandalf, Wyldstyle, and the Doctor all hanging out, doing wacky things together? When originally announced, the one included IP that just seemed out of this world was Doctor Who. Watching all of the favorite Doctors in LEGO form is spectacular. Heck, hearing Peter Capaldi be the official voice for his LEGO counter part is awesome enough. Plus, there’s the TARDIS.

Well, fans will be happy to know the Weeping Angels make a terrifying appearance in the game. Just make sure not to blink when watching the footage.

This footage was captured by Kotaku‘s Mike Fahey, and shared by io9. It’s surprising enough to get to roam around a LEGO world of Doctor Who, but using the license to also include one of the scariest creatures in the series is fantastic. They actually look more frightening in brick form than they do in their standard form. Batman and friends are in for a real scare. It doesn’t help that a tense song is playing in the background.

Can’t wait to play through this level? You can go out and purchase the game today. Just make sure to have your Sonic Screwdriver prepared.

What’s your final verdict, Whovians? Does this make you want to race to your local game shop? Which Doctor are you planning on using throughout the game? Let us know in the comments below.
