SCOOBY-DOO and Shaggy Get Sucked into New LEGO DIMENSIONS Trailer

♬ Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? We got some LEGO to build now. ♬

If you didn’t already know, the wonderful world of Scooby-Doo will be making an appearance in TT Games’ LEGO Dimensions—due out September 27. That means Scoob and his pals will be joining the likes of Doctor Who, DC Comics, Ghostbusters, Portal, Lord of the Rings, The Simpsons, The LEGO Movie, and more in an adventure to save the LEGO Multiverse.

Though this isn’t the first we’ve heard about it, the latest trailer (above) sandwiches LEGO Dimensions gameplay in between two shorts in the style of the hit animated series. After being terrified by the emptiness of their cobweb-filled (yuck) fridge, Scooby and Shaggy get a special delivery from Portal’s GLaDOS. What they believe to be a dessert is actually the physical toy pad that comes with the title. After assembling it, the dynamic duo is sucked into the game.

Scooby Doo Shaggy LEGO Dimensions

I’m still partial to the live-action Back to the Future trailer—because let’s face it, it’s hard to beat a paranoid Christopher Lloyd—but this trailer takes the cake in the charm department. Since Scooby-Doo is one of the fourteen brands included in the game, you’ll have access to the themed level with no purchase necessary.

If you do wish to extend the fun however, purchasing the Scooby-Doo Team Pack will score you Scooby, Shaggy, the Mystery Machine, and the Super Shaggy Sandwich. With the ability to rebuild vehicles up to three times in LEGO Dimensions, I’m already adding the Mystery Machine to my wish-list alongside the Ecto-1, TARDIS, and the DeLorean Time Machine.

Which franchise are you most excited to check out in LEGO Dimensions? Let us know in the comments below.
