The Merc with the Mouth is coming and bringing along with him death, violence, and a whole lot of comedy. Actor Patton Oswalt spotted the newest Deadpool billboard via Twitter during his morning drive, and fans couldn’t get enough. This hilarious homage to Wade Wilson used emoji to promote the film, much the same way you’d text it to a friend, using poop of course.

Now you can make your own Deadpool Emoji using something much tastier: chocolate cookies! Oh and some edible silver spray doesn’t hurt either. Deadpool lives, he dies, he lives again! Wait that’s another movie, yet still fitting…Hm, maybe Deadpool is a War Boy?? I smell crossover!

Deadpool Emoji Cookies
you’ll need:
– Poop Emoji cookie cutter
– skull and L, printed templates
– Wilton Silver Color Mist
– black icing
– white icing

ingredients:
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup cocoa powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– pinch of salt
– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla

Print out images of the Skull emoji and letter L to use as templates later.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until combined.

Add the egg, vanilla and stir well.

Slowly add in the dry ingredients until the dough comes together. When it starts to pull away from the bowl, it’s ready.

Split the dough in two and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill until you are ready to use.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with silpats or parchment.

Roll out the dough to about 3/8 inch thick. Dip the Poop Emoji cookie cutter into flour and shake off the excess, then press the cookie cutter into the dough. Transfer onto the prepped baking sheets.

For the Skull and the L use a template or cut the shapes out freeform. Move those to the prepped baking sheets as well and bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.

Once the cookies are cool, spray the Skull cookie with the edible silver spray. Let dry completely. Use a #12 tip and black icing to add the eyes and nose and a #4 tip and white icing for the teeth.

Frost the L cookie with black icing.

Fill in the white and black eye and mouth details on the Poop Emoji cookies, then line up the cookies to spell Dead. Poo. L. to serve.
