In the past few weeks, you may have read the news about an anonymous Rick and Morty fan spending a TON of money on one 64oz bottle of McDonald’s Szechuan sauce and thought to yourself, “Who in their right mind would spend that money on something like that?!” And if that thought was immediately followed by the incredibly specific, “I bet it was acclaimed EDM artist, deadmau5!”, you’d be absolutely correct. Yes. That’s right. Deadmau5 may not have spent $15,000, but the DJ did spend an undisclosed, presumably large sum on old McNugget sauce.

Fans following the the Rick and Morty twitter account saw this tweet Thursday evening and immediately started digging. Thankfully, Robert Workman, the gent who sold the sauce, spent the day packing it up and sending it to the winner of the auction and posting it on social media to help us solve the case.
