DAREDEVIL Season 3 Teaser Highlights the Return of Kingpin

It’s been two and half years since the last season of Daredevil dropped on Netflix, but the long wait for season three is nearly over. And now, after last week’s first teaser trailer, we have yet another new teaser for the upcoming season, which features our first good look at Vincent D’Onofrio as returning season one “Big Bad,” Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. the Kingpin. We see Fisk standing before a mirror, putting on his iconic white suite from the pages of Marvel Comics, and on the other side, a bloody and beaten Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) also faces an uncertain future.

Netflix and Marvel Television have also provided the first full synopsis for the third season, which picks up after last year’s crossover event The Defenders.

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero.”

Although not 100% confirmed, it does appear from the looks of things that the third season of Daredevil is going to pull from some legendary Marvel Comics, such as Daredevil: The Man Without Fear, and legendary Frank Miller storyline, Born Again. Don’t expect season three to be a direct adaptation of any one storyline from the comics however, as the producers tend to pick and choose various stories  to create a narrative unique to the show.

Daredevil season three will officially drop on Netflix on October 19.

Are you as excited as we are for the long awaited return of the Man without fear? Be sure to let us know down below in the comments.
