Converge Unveils Live Recording “Jane Live” (Exclusive)

Converge’s 2001 album Jane Doe is a brilliant work from start to finish, which is why there was so much excitement when the band announced it would perform the entire album live at The Netherlands Roadburn Festival in 2016. Obviously, most of us couldn’t be there, but the video of the set shows what a truly epic experience it was. On top of this, Converge has just unveiled a live recording of the performance dubbed Jane Live. Stunning, beautiful, and chaotic, the live album is a must-own for fans of the band and for anybody who loves hard and heavy music.

The set was mixed by Converge guitarist and legendary producer Kurt Ballou at God City Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. We’re proud to premiere the album’s title track, which is a perfect showcase for how amazing this recording sounds. Give it a listen and then head over to Deathwish Inc. and pre-order this record.

You should also take a moment and look at the gorgeous album art. The iconic Jane Doe cover has been reimagined by artists Florian Bertmer, John Baizley, Randy Ortiz, and Thomas Hooper, each giving his own unique spin on the classic artwork, while Ashley Rose Couture’s stunning real life reconstruction of the cover adorns the release on all formats. Having different artist put their own mark on the Jane Doe cover is a brilliant idea and we’re seriously tempted to collect them all. Each redesign reinvents Jacob Bannon’s original with a different tone, texture, and feel. Check them out in the gallery below and let us know which one you’re gonna pick up.

You can pre-order Jane Live here.
