Whatever your political leanings may be, you have to admit that the current administration has more than its fair share of drama and one of the highest octane fuel for jokes in recent memory. So much drama, in fact, that there’s even talk of a TV movie being made about Donald Trump Jr.’s clandestine meeting with a Russian lawyer promising dirt on Clinton. Whether or not we get to see a dramatization of the those happenings, Conan O’Brien leaked the supposed cast of this project in spectacular fashion.
This casting is clearly played for laughs by mostly using fictional characters instead of actual actors but we have to admit a lot of them are really good choices. There are so many distinct and interesting looking people involved with the Trump administration that their fictional counterparts get a bit weird. The character of Draco Malfoy would make a pretty good Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. does bear a striking resemblance to a standard blank-faced fitness dummy, and Ivanka’s doppelganger is absolutely Janice from the Muppets.
But out of all the choices, there are two in particular that go above and beyond in terms of perfect casting. We are, of course, talking about casting Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle as attorney general Jeffe Sessions and the Mucinex snot monster as Robert Goldstone.
