The Ridiculous Chuck Norris Cartoon You Didn’t Know About

We all know Copernicus was wrong, because the Sun revolves around Chuck Norris, the only person who can divide by zero. Despite his seemingly unlimited powers, there was one thing even he couldn’t do: get a full season order for his totally insane cartoon. Yeah, that’s right, Chuck Norris had his own ’80s action animated series, and this week’s Animation Investigation shows you why it might be the most ridiculous cartoon ever made.

On the newest episode of our series exploring all things animation, host Hector Navarro kicks some Super Ninja butt looking back at the brief five-episode run of Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos, a name that would sound too implausible even in a Chuck Norris joke. From on-the-nose character names (there’s a super villain named Claw who actually had a clamp) to a stolen spaceship, it’s not clear whether the series ran five episodes too long or if it should have run for 500.

It’s rare when the highlight of an animated series is a live-action segment, especially one that involves killer dolphins, “too much” child endangerment, and parachuting alligators. But those opening segments with Chuck Norris deserve to be in a museum, because they are the best thing we have ever seen.

And why wouldn’t they be? We’re talking about Chuck Norris here, so of course even his one failure, this insane cartoon, is still amazing.

Have you ever seen a more insane cartoon series? Would you watch the show if it came back? Be a Komments Section Kommando by sharing your thoughts with us in the comments below.
