Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Box of Chocolate Porgs

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is about one thing: eating as much sugar as you can. Or, if you’re a wookiee celebrating on Ahch-To, eating as much porg meat as you can. This Valentine’s Day, you can have the best of both worlds. Our favorite porg-minded artist Toby Markham previously created squishy porgs in anticipation of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and now he’s come up with the Valentine’s Day gift everyone wants but no one thought to make: a box of custom chocolate porgs.

As a sculptor, Markham regularly creates a bunch of different geeky pieces, with an emphasis on Star Wars creations. Since his Instagram followers thought his clay carving was chocolate anyway, Markham felt like Valentine’s Day was the perfect opportunity to pick up where Star Wars merchandising dropped the ball and carve up some edible porgs.

He took it upon himself to sculpt tiny ones, then cast them in chocolate. The deliciousness is in the details: milk chocolate feathers, white chocolate tummies, and pure, decadent, dark chocolate eyes. It’s useless to resist the power of dark chocolate.

Only a small batch were made—Markham has no intention of going into the chocolate business, although we think these little Ahch-To treats would fly off the shelves. This labor of love was made solely for lucky friends and family. Any wookiee would agree, this a sign of pure love.

See the process photos in the gallery below. Check out more of Markham’s work on his website www.sithcamaro.com and follow his Instagram @sithcamaro for even more porgtastic action.
