Chevrolet Unveiled a TRON: LEGACY Inspired Car

Sure, you can zip around the world of a computer mainframe on a motorbike, but we all know how dangerous that can be. Instead, when you find yourself traveling between software programs why not try out a nice, much safer sedan, kind of like with this new car inspired by TRON: Legacy.

Slashfilm reported the news about this automotive homage, which is General Motors’ own tribute to the science-fiction series. This version of the Chevrolet Cruze is on display in Beijing for Auto China 2016, and the mostly black car gets its TRON-like look from a special metallic paint (good luck having your auto body shop find the right match for that if you get into an accident). On the inside, those same blue lines run across the “seats, instrument panel, steering wheel, and center console.” There is even “ice blue ambient lighting,” though I am fairly certain the exterior blue lights would not be legal in our world.

Now this might just look like a regular black sedan with some blue lighting, but it’s believed that instead of an engine the entire car is actually run by MCP. Plus, as a fun little extra, Pac-Man himself is hidden somewhere in the car… Okay, I made that all up.

But still, this thing looks way better than a computer de-aged Jeff Bridges…but so does everything else, so ignore that too.
