Burger King’s Mac N’ Cheetos are a Nightmare Snack

Some men want to watch the world burn. Others want to mummify mac n’ cheese inside a virulently orange sarcophagus made of dust-laden corn puffs. As it turns out Burger King is one of the others, a fact evidenced by their newly announced, Internet-breaking menu item, Mac N’ Cheetos.

For a cool $2.49, you will receive a 5-piece order of these nightmarish mozarella sticks packed to the gills with deep-fried macaroni and cheese. Oh and in case you were worried, they will come with a side of ranch dressing so you can waterboard your orange flavor-tombs before banishing them to the Sarlacc pit that is your mouth.

Whether it was from a deep-seated jealousy of the gastronomic experimentation between Doritos and Taco Bell that yielded the Doritos Locos Taco or a desire to render the stygian, eldritch creations of H.P. Lovecraft in fast food form, Burger King is rolling out its twisted new treat for a limited time — approximately 8 weeks or while supplies last — beginning on June 27, 2016. According to Foodbeast, certain stores in Southern California have begun testing out the new menu item today, but Burger King has said it will enter select locations next week.

Thankfully, one intrepid YouTube fast food reviewer, which we found via Verge, has already taste-tested them for the rest of us:

If you think this is the end of days, think again; it’s only the beginning, according to Burger King president Alex Macedo. Speaking with Bloomberg, Macedo said, “We’re working on a few other menu items [with Frito-Lay]. There’s room for us to do more together in the future.”

If I’m being completely honest here, I’ll probably try the Mac N’ Cheetos sooner rather than later because I hate myself and my body is a dumpster fire. And a fire needs fuel, baby.

But would you try these? What other fast food/snack food fusion treats would you like to eat? Let us know in the comments below!
