Celebrate 20 Years of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER with Awesome Merch

Get ready to slay–on March 10th, Buffy the Vampire Slayer turns 20! Fox Consumer Products is throwing a major hootenanny in honor of the iconic teenage slayer and her many adventures in Sunnydale with plenty of officially licensed merch for fans of all kinds!

It goes without saying that we’re huge fans of Joss Whedon’s hit series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. The first episode, “Welcome to the Hellmouth,” premiered on the WB Network on March 10th, 1997–it’s a classic Buffy episode, complete with goofy puns and plenty of late ’90s fashion. The series finished its glorious TV run with “Chosen” on May 30, 2003 and has since continued living on in comic form. Twenty years of memories with the Scooby Gang definitely calls for Xander’s happy Snoopy dance and plenty of festivities.

Since Fox Consumer Products is a key licensing partner with Dark Horse, Hot Topic, Simon & Schuster, and others, they’ll be unleashing tons of Buffy themed apparel, accessories, books, and more! (Sorry, no retro beepers included.) “Decades after its television debut, Buffy the Vampire Slayer continues to stake its ground in pop culture,” said Jim Fielding, President of Consumer Products and Innovation at 20th Century Fox Consumer Products. “As one of the studio’s most memorable programs, we are thrilled to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary alongside the devoted Buffy fan community.” Below are some of our top picks from his unholy amount of wonderful celebratory items.

We’ve got your shirt swag covered with a full line-up of exclusive Buffy tees for men and women in stores and online via Ripple Junction. Hot Topic will also be adding to the hype with a collection from apparel featuring Buffy’s iconic trench coat from the season three finale, “Graduation Day, Part 2.”

Bring on the books–a new Adult Coloring Book will be released later this year designed with classic big bads and monsters from the series in mind. There’s also a shiny, 100% authorized Encyclopedia written by Buffy specialists Nancy Holder and Lisa Clancy to be released that features pages upon pages of facts and figures about the complete Buffyverse. Other literary goodness includes an official Grimoire, Definitive Visual Handbook, Stationary Set, and multiple Buffy-themed Journals.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a celebration without some online fun. Starting on March 10th, the “Sunnydale High Yearbook Contest” will ask fans to hit Twitter and Facebook with their high school class photos with an attached “senior quote” in the form of a Buffy caption and the hashtag #BuffySlays20 in order to win a trip to San Diego Comic Con 2017! All the deets can be found at BoxLunch.com. Also, the cast and crew from the series will definitely be joining in through their social accounts, connecting with fans from all over on this joyous anniversary–so be sure to follow the IRL cast on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Haven’t had time to relive the feels with the Scoobies recently? No problem, Pop will be airing “Welcome to the Hellmouth” on March 10th at 9AM ET/PT and all seasons of Buffy are still available to stream on Netflix and Hulu.
