Boldly Go Further with TREK NATION

If you’re familiar with Star Trek, then you’re familiar with the name Gene Roddenberry. He’s only the man who dreamed up the whole thing, from Starfleet to phasers to Klingons to “boldly go,” so he’s sort of a big deal to a lot of nerds. He was also a father who didn’t know his son all that well before he passed away. Gene’s son, and former Nerdist Podcast guest, Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry was only 17 when his father died and he never fully grasped how big a deal Star Trek and the name Roddenberry were to so many.

In the film Trek Nation, available now on Special Edition 2-disc DVD, Rod takes a camera crew with him as he attempts to find out who the real Gene was and what his work, life, and legacy truly are. With interviews with people like Nichelle Nichols, Patrick Stewart, J.J. Abrams, and George Lucas, as well as fans and scientists, Rod delves into what makes Star Trek so important to so many.

For your opportunity to trek with Rod on his quest by winning a copy of the Trek Nation Special Edition DVD set of your own, simply enter this contest, then go to our Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages to give yourself some extra entries, which, like Tribbles, you can never have too many of. You’ve only got until Wednesday, August 28th, 2013, to enter before this offer beams itself away.
