Blow Some Boozy Bubbles with Bubble Lick

Blow Some Boozy Bubbles with Bubble Lick

Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you might be presented with a paper umbrella or a fancy looking straw to spruce up an otherwise unenthusiastic drink. But what if, instead of chugging down your alcoholic drinks…you could eat them? Say goodbye to the days of flashing your ID at the bartender of an overcrowded watering hole and say hello to Bubble Lick: a non-toxic way to eat your drinks. Okay, so the bubbles don’t have to be infused with booze, but it would be great for astronauts looking to have a stellar time (disclaimer: bubbles don’t operate under the same logic in space, but you get the gist).

Like any other curious child, I used to blow bubbles with straws and then try to pop them using my mouth. Bubble baths were fun, but in the event that I would accidentally eat the beard that I fashioned on my face, it turned into a bad time. Turns out dish soap tastes disgusting when ingested. Bubble Lick takes the fun of bubbles and transforms an ingestible liquid into a lightweight, fun activity where you definitely won’t look ridiculous trying to catch a soda bubble in your mouth.

The website recommends using thinner liquids (ex: avoid milk) to concoct these creations, and suggests that you use them outside so you don’t ruin your furniture. They come in a pack of 5, and each bottle contains 25 ml of the edible bubble mixture and a bubble wand attached to the lid. It’s completely non-toxic! No more recoiling in disgust after popping a soap bubble with your tongue.

The process is just like blowing a regular bubble, where you’ll use the edible solution and then add your choice of drink to the remaining space. The possibilities are endless. Cold press coffee bubbles could be a game changer for getting ready in the morning. I’d be more enthusiastic about waking up if I were greeted by a bunch of coffee infused floating orbs. Plus I’d get my daily dose of physical activity done and over with since I’d be jumping to catch the bubbles, or running around making sure my dog didn’t catch one herself.

Not to burst your bubble, but if you were looking to turn your favorite drinks into edible air pockets you’re out of luck until after the holidays– according to their website, the product is sold out until after Christmas! If you’re really interested, pre-orders are still available and will be shipped once the product is back in stock.
