BETTER CALL SAUL Has Its Own Digital Comic Book, With Flying Jimmy

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s an attorney with a dubious moral compass that doesn’t care what it takes to serve his clients!

That’s right, the comic book world has another anti-hero to make us question our own ethical standards, and when it comes to protecting others, well, let’s just say he’s real good, man — Saul Goodman.

AMC has released the first issue of a digital comic book of Better Call Saul, to help promote the upcoming second season. It’s way more of an actual comic book story than you’d imagine–from the titles, to the characters, to the art and dialogue — especially because its hero flies around in a cape.

All of that is to be expected though from something called “Saul Goodman and the Justice Consortium in the Clutches of the Judgernaut!” This first edition, where Jimmy comes to the rescue of a client that is in the dastardly hands of the millennial super villain Yolo Contendere, is titled “And Justice For Saul.”

You’ll want to read the comic yourself so I won’t spoil too much, but Saul’s rescue involves, unsurprisingly, a questionable tactic. Plus, we get a hint of what is to come in future issues with the rest of the Justice Consortium, and even a brief look at the Judgernaut’s plan. The comic will have a six-issue run with a bi-weekly release schedule, with the next one available on February 23. You can sign up to be alerted when the new issues become available.

This is the second comic released by AMC to promote the show, but last years’ “Better Call Saul: Client Development” involved Saul and Mike without any flying or special powers. (The first season comic is currently down at AMC’s website.)

Better Call Saul season 2 springs into action this Monday, February 15th, on AMC.

What are you looking forward to in the second season? What do you think of the comic? Tell us all your thoughts below, where you are protected by client-website privilege.
