Before SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, Watch Peter Parker Try to Make Tony Stark’s NBA Party

Even when Peter Parker’s life gets awesome, there are always some very real-world hitches that come with it. Invited to Tony Stark’s NBA Finals viewing party, Tom Holland‘s Spidey finds himself running errands for Happy Hogan, being distracted by fans and criminals, and finally making it back only to discover…

Well, we won’t spoil that for you. Suffice it to say that in addition to Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, and DJ Khaled appear in this short that was originally broken up into four even-short commercials which aired during the real NBA finals. Today sees the online debut of the “director’s cut,” which edits them together seamlessly into a mini-adventure:

Now, before any purists point out that Peter Parker is traditionally not a jock type and might not be a basketball uber-fan, let me ask even the most die-hard game-haters among you: if Iron Man invites you to a party, are you going to say no? Hell, if Jon Favreau invited you, you wouldn’t say no either.

We will take issue with the notion that Peter’s “not sophisticated,” however. Assuming nothing changes too much for the new movie continuity, he invented web fluid that can do pretty much anything (besides “not run out when the plot calls for a cliffhanger”).

And just why does Tim Duncan like crackers so much?

It looks to us like Tom Holland has this part down, but what do you think? Spin a comment, any size, or talk back on our Facebook page.
