Animated Promo Highlights Best Moments from the Entire STAR WARS Saga

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens hitting theaters in under three weeks, many fans are using the remaining days to get themselves reacquainted with the entire Star Wars saga, episodes I-VI. Or, in some cases, introducing the galaxy far, far away to their little ones for the very first time. (Yes, that even means faithful fans are even subjecting themselves to The Phantom Menace again. And here’s a helpful hint: Episode I is way better, and a lot less like going to the dentist, when you watch it on mute. Trust me.)

Over in the UK, cable network Sky Movies is actually airing the entire saga on their dedicated Star Wars channel, starting on December 11th. They could have just strung a bunch of clips together from the movies as a commercial for it, but thankfully, the folks at Sky Movies hired production company MPC to create an all-new animated promo for the marathon. Starting chronologically with Episode I, the thirty-second spot features moments from each movie, seamlessly blended together into one super cool montage.

Included in the montage are some of the most memorable moments of the entire saga, and from new angles. Here you see the pod-race on Tatooine, the battle of Geonosis that began the Clone Wars, the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan duel, the rescue of Princess Leia from the first Death Star, Luke training with Yoda on Dagobah, and finally, the battle of Endor. This little promo is so cool in fact, I kind of wish they’d make an even longer version of it, just for the heck of it.

You can watch the entire thirty-second promo above. The Star Wars Saga begins airing on Sky Movies on December 11th.
