Eight months after the end of Secret Wars, thereâs a new Hulk in the All-New, All Different Marvel Universe. Bruce Bannerâs time as the Hulk is seemingly over, and the curse that haunted him for years has apparently been lifted.
In Bannerâs place stands a new, âTotally Awesomeâ Hulk: 19-year old Amadeus Cho. Somehow, the 7th smartest person on Earth has become the strongest one there is! And unlike Banner, Cho embraces life as a the Hulk. He carries his curse like a feather…but how long is that going to last? The Marvel Universe is in a state of perpetual change, and even the Totally Awesome Hulk will eventually face a threat that he canât outthink or defeat with his fists.
Marvel has released the first preview pages from Totally Awesome Hulk #1, which brings writer Greg Pak back to the character that he co-created in 2006. Under Pakâs pen, Amadeus Cho has been a sidekick to both the Hulk and Hercules, but now heâs in a class all of his own. Joining Pak is artist Frank Cho, who shows off his love of monsters and beautiful women in the pages attached to the gallery below. The preview also seems to indicate that Amadeus Cho retains his intellect even when hulked out.
Frank Choâs regular and variant covers for Totally Awesome Hulk #1 have also been revealed. There’s also a Marvel â92 variant cover by Dale Keown that revisits his classic Hulk run with Peter David.
Totally Awesome Hulk #1 will be released on Wednesday, December 2 in comic book stores everywhere.
