Allison Paige Is THE FLASH’S First Female Speedster

There’s rarely a shortage of speedsters on The Flash, but the series is about to get its first superfast woman! Allison Paige has been cast Eliza Harmon a.k.a. Trajectory.

Trajectory was introduced in the pages of DC’s event series 52, and she was created by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Mark Waid. While the comic book incarnation of Trajectory was a superheroine, her counterpart on The Flash will apparently be more of a villainess. According to the initial report by TVLine, Trajectory arrives in Central City and leaves “maximum chaos” in her wake. And because she’s so fast, Trajectory’s actions are blamed on the Flash himself.

Paige is best known for her stint on the soap opera, Days of Our Lives; in addition to her leading role in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries as Gigi Darcy, a part she also played in Welcome to Sanditon and Domino: Gigi Darcy. Paige is slated to appear as Trajectory in the 16th episode of The Flash season 2.

Trajectory

And though Trajectory will be the first female speedster on The Flash, she may not be the last one. Violett Beane is currently recurring on the series as Jesse Chambers Wells, a character based on DC Comics’ Jesse Quick. While The Flash’s version of Jesse doesn’t currently have any superpowers, her captivity at the hands of Zoom could eventually lead Jesse to her superspeed destiny as well.
