ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS Releases First Full Trailer

Walt Disney Studios has not been stingy with footage from Alice Through The Looking Glass as of this week. We shared the itty-bitty teaser trailer over the weekend, and a few more clips earlier this week, but now the studio has truly delivered and given us the very first full length trailer. You can check out all 2 minutes of its beauty above.

It’s pretty safe to say now that the live-action Alice In Wonderland sequel is going to be just as sumptuous and stunning as its predecessor. Look at those costumes! Look at the makeup! Look at Helena Bonham Carter‘s head!

In addition to the return of all the players from the first film, including Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Alice Through The Looking Glass also adds Rhys Ifans as Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter’s father, and Sacha Baron Cohen as Time himself. He looks devious and wonderful, and I cannot wait to see him strut across the screen in May.

Alice Through The Looking Glass follows Alice’s initial adventures in Wonderland by a good few years as you can tell from the very beginning of the trailer. Alice is called back to Wonderland to save her old friend the Mad Hatter from certain doom (hello did you see all the fire?). I think we can count on some whimsy with shrinking and growing again as well as the manipulations of Time himself who is, if you look closely, only part human. He’s also part clockwork. Personally, I’m really hoping that we also get to see the Jabberwocky from the book, but there has been little to indicate he will make an appearance except for the gigantic dragon-like creature from the trailer. But I’m not believing it until I see it, darn it!

Please be as excited for this film as I am. And if you’re not excited yet, just imagine all the fun GIFs we’ll be able to make from it over the next few months. Like this one with some chess pieces who are downright aggressive!
