A Very Special Message from GOOSEBUMPS’ Slappy the Dummy

If you’re familiar with Goosebumps, the wildly popular kids’ horror series from the ’80s and ’90s, chances are you also know Slappy, the wisecrackin’, murderous ventriloquist dummy from R.L. Stine’s Night of the Living Dummy saga. Brought to life with the words “Karru marri odonna loma molonu karrano,” usually found scrawled on a scrap of paper in his pocket, Slappy is a sadistic wooden villain with super strength and a penchant for enslaving (or at least attempting to enslave) the poor children who unknowingly awaken him.

Slappy’s made several appearances in the Goosebumps book and television series, and now he’ll make his theatrical debut with the new Goosebumps film adaptation starring Jack Black. And because he’s so excited for the movie’s release in October and Nerdoween, Slappy has recorded a very special message for you, dear Nerdist readers. Check out his words of warning in the video above.

Goosebumps hits theaters October 16, 2015.

Stay tuned to Nerdist for upcoming updates about the film, and let us know your favorite Goosebumps antagonist in the comments below!
