Every Easter Egg in Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE Set Photo

The perils of taking a selfie have been well documented as of late. According to a new report, snapping a narcissistic photograph of oneself is deadlier than a shark attack, with 12 deaths resulting from the popular pastime compared to 8 shark-induced deaths as of September 2015. Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder may feel at ease on the set of his forthcoming film Justice League (which is currently in pre-production and begins filming this April) given that he’s accompanied by the King of the Seven Seas himself, Aquaman, played by Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa. After all with Momoa/Aquaman there, he is at a shockingly low risk of getting attacked by a shark. However, what the director is at risk for is accidentally spilling some of the Justice League beans through his social media presence. His latest selfie, for example, may not be deadly, but it does reveal some surprising details in the background of the image.

“What a cute photo of two of the DC Extended Universe’s major players,” you might be thinking. But look beyond their adorable smiling faces to the left-hand side of the frame. Not only do we see Batman’s cowl-less suit (or what may be Nightwing’s costume?) and Aquaman’s familiar-looking armor, but we get a glimpse of Barry Allen’s the Flash costume. (Also depicted in the photograph: Batman’s cowl, what looks like Wonder Woman’s armor, concept art of what looks like Mera, and some weird ninja-looking costume.)

Based on the photo, it appears to be a little more armored and rigid than the suit that Grant Gustin wears on The Flash TV series; rather, it seems more akin to the Flash’s look from Injustice: Gods Among Us, which saw the Scarlet Speedster wearing a crimson carapace to protect himself from the superpowered slugfest.

This is generally in line with the concept art we saw earlier this year on last month’s Dawn of the Justice League TV special. Still, it’s nice to actually have eyes on the costume itself, especially since so much can change from concept to completion.

It’s also a smart move on the part of Snyder and company to differentiate Ezra Miller’s superhero duds a bit from his small-screen counterpart, especially since he already has the hurdle of The Flash fandom to overcome. One thing’s for certain: it’s going to be awesome to see all of our favorite DC heroes finally come together on the big screen.

What do you think of this brief glimpse at The Flash’s costume? What else do you spy in the photograph? Let us know in the comments below.
