After the success of Foxâs 24: Live Another Day, itâs no surprise other networks are following suit with limited-series event revivals of fan favorite shows. Enter NBC. Considering one of their most beloved niche entities, Heroes, never quite got the ending many would have liked to see, the network is wisely releasing a limited-event of their own in the form of Heroes Reborn. However, we still donât know much about what that limited-eventâs narrative would entail or who would be involved with it⦠until today⦠sort of.
We still donât know the story, but we do know we can now add another named to the confirmed cast list that, at the moment, only features the man in the horn-rimmed glasses, and that name is none other than Chuckâs Zachary Levi.
Unfortunately, like the plot of the summer series, Leviâs importance to the show is being kept under wraps â but the report does indicate itâs a âkeyâ role. âThere are a few franchises Iâve always wanted to be a part of, and Heroes is one of them,â Levi says in speaking with TVLine. âChuck gave me the opportunity to wield some fun powers, but an entire world with superpowers is a world Iâve always wanted to explore.
Leviâs of course no stranger to fanfare as, beyond Chuck, the man had a co-starring role in Thor: The Dark World a little over a year ago. From the fan perspective, this piece of casting should work out very well for NBC should the series take off.
Heroes Reborn debuts this summer on NBC.
