Your Thanksgiving High-Velocity Turkey Interlude

Thursday is Thanksgiving in the U.S., and I think I can speak for everyone at Nerdist Industries in saying that we are extremely thankful for all of you. I’m not going to get all sappy here, but I’ll say that writing for the Nerdist audience/community/nation is one of the best things about being the editor of this website. Thanks for supporting whatever it is that we do around here.

Enjoy, please, the video clip above, one of television comedy’s all-time great moments, the WKRP Turkey Drop. (If it doesn’t play where you are, sorry; blame Hulu) And enjoy your burr… er, turkey, and mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce and sweet potato pie and that string bean casserole stuff with the crunchy onions on top.

Okay, then. Take us outa here, Wayne:

Have a great holiday.

A Thanksgiving never goes by where I don’t find a moment to say, “The Pinedale shopping Mall has just been bombed with live turkeys. Film at 11.” I even have my ESL students watch the show. Thanks for the clip, and a Happy Turkey Day to you too.

That’s a pretty tasteful outfit for Herb.

I had never heard of this until this morning, when my dad mentioned it to me.

PS: I work at a news station and I’ve seen reporters come back from live shots with that haunted look in their eyes before. Always worth a laugh 🙂

Thanks for the clip. I remember watching this when I was little kid. It’s still one of the funniest things. I still laugh outloud whenever I see it.
